INTERVIEW: Voting Pledge Form
The Voting Pledge Form can be used by the girls with any upcoming political election such as school budget or presidential to interview people and ask them:
- Will you help me understand more about voting so I can make educated choices when I am legally allowed to vote?
- Why do you vote?
- Which of the Life issues concern you and why?
- Will you commit to vote in the election by signing the GirlsMatter Voting Pledge?
This activity encourages the girls to:
- Maintain eye contact with the interviewee
- Use receptive listening skills
- Accept the person’s point of view without reacting
Discuss Results:
When the Pledge to Vote Campaign is completed the girls discuss their results at a club meeting.
