GirlsMatter is an unprecedented initiative aimed at engaging girls and young women in the political process from an early age. Girls need to practice hearing their own voice and listening to each other and then, with that strong foundation, get their mothers, sisters and grandmothers to register, vote, and support candidates. The ultimate goal for GirlsMatter is to enable school age young women to grow into active political participants.

GirlsMatter is part of WomenMatter - for women of all ages to find ways on WomenMatter to take action when we feel ready. The purpose of WomenMatter is to help women of all ages find the knowledge and support they need in order to:

  • find a voice

  • make decisions publicly and politically

  • achieve equality in their lives.

    • All women need to: FIRST hear ourselves, SECOND hear others, and then, BE HEARD!!!!!
